Welcome to
Demos of Karpophoros Hellenion

We are a polytheistic Hellenic Reconstruction religious group based in Northern California dedicated to the public worship of the ancient gods. As our name Karpophoros suggests, we focus on the Gods and Goddesses of agricultural fertility, namely Dionysos, Demeter and Persephone, but others as well. Their energy resonates in our area, which has been renowned for fruit production for over 250 years. We are a proud member of the Hellenion organization, an international ‘church’ with soon to be tax-exempt status here in California.

Our mission is to create sanctified spiritual space for everyone, members and the curious alike, to raise spiritual energy, heal our planet, and manifest goodness in the world. We wish to share this opportunity with others and through our public, vocal ceremonies build up charis between us and the gods/goddesses.

Hellenion® is an US-based religious organization (“church”) dedicated to the revival and practice of Hellenic polytheism. We approach Hellenic religion from the reconstructionist perspective, which includes both an emphasis on historical precedent and respect for personal spiritual inspiration. We offer local congregations, study opportunities, and fellowship for those who worship the Olympians and the other deities of ancient Greece in a traditional way.

And for this reason we pray, that we might become one with the Gods
